probation vist today

had my gas safe probation vist today, i was crapping myself,lasted for 3hrs, got to be fair what a nice fella put me at ease from the start, take your time he kept saying, and all went well thank god
 
Had mine today as well mate in Margate. Wasn't a problem either. Got plenty of advice and once he could see I knew what I was doing he was happy. Don't know what the worry was about !!
 
Why mate??? You know how to do a tightness test? A burner pressure test? Test for leaks? It's just basic stuff mate !! They are there to help you, not fail you. You did the hard bit when you done your ACS.

its no probs rob, like you said its basic stuff, i just hate people over my shoulder when working, you know what i mean
 
I do and I hate it as well !!! Like I say, don't worry about it cos he just wants to see you can work safely. Have a bottle of leak detection fluid handy and a U-guage and thats about it !!! I can run through what he instructed me to do if you pm me.
 
all ready had the vist and passed, thats what the post said, i was just saying he was a good fella, mind you if i messed up i'm sure he'd have my ticket off me, does any body know if you have the same inspector for future vists
