Hi all,

I had a man call me yesterday with the above problem. He'd been using a digger and caught mains pipe, pulling it out of the meter box. He isolated the water with the key and then pushed the pipe back in but it's now dripping so I think he damaged the fitting when he pulled the pipe out. I must confess here that this is the first time I've come across this and I don't really know what to do or if he has to replace the whole plastic cylinder where the meter and isolation valve are housed. It's this unit that I use to isolate the water when the mains stopcock is stuck but I haven't got the experience yet to know how to isolate this one. It's on the bloke's property so it's his responsibility by the way.

Thanks in advance for any helpful hints!
