Basicly ive got a customer who's bathroom window is a bit low to the ground and the basin (when offered up on Ped) is above the ledge by about 20 mil...already been tiled and i was wondering can i cut the ped down with a tile saw? any suggestions apart from that would be app Gents😕

Thanks

JK

I'd never try to cut ceramic - it would never work. Instead of spending hours and hours looking for the correct basin, can you get the customer to supply it for you? Sometimes it's not worth trying to make a little extra by purchasing the parts and adding a mark up.

Could you fit a vanity unit and saw a bit off the bottom? Otherwise how about a wall mounted basin?

go buy yourself a length of upvc window cill and explain to customer otherwise tell them to supply correct basin to fit.

Cheers lads...on way round there now to finish job , they are good as gold so i will explain all and report back to you boys later......

Who said this plumbing game aint stressfull 😡

Nightmare!!!! Told customer of problem and only to be told the tiler has finished and he never packed the sil up 1mm!

So me and a mate (and a very fine toothed saw ) cut the ped down by said 20 mm and a bit of packing and some mastic and its looks great and nice and solid...so you can cut a ped...but be warned it took us 1 hour 30 mins!!!

Bloomin' 'eck!!!

Grand job Grommet!!

I'd never have dared do that.

well done with that!

Could you not have connected the whb to the wall with a bracket and used a semi pedistal?

did you cut the customers legs down by 20mm so they fitted the lower basin height?
