Hi I have a problem with the hot water on a ferroli oil combi, it takes a while for the hot water to heat up, even on the comfort setting and the hot water fluctuates from hot to cold every few minutes, the heat exchanger has been cleaned and gets really hot but the hot water pipe on the heat exchanger only gets warm. Any advice would be great, thanks.

if the heat exchanger is getting hot but water isnt its either the flow rate through is to fast or the heat exchanger is scaled if heating side was blocked it would cut the boiler down i assume flame stays on full? other than that it could be a stat /thermistor problem

Hi Stevetheplumber,
Thanks for the quick reply, the flow and return pipe on the heat exchanger is hot and when I just crack the tap open so that there is not much flow coming through it is still the same.It is a hard water area and I have descaled the heat exchanger a few times over the past 2 years.
Cheers.
