Hi all,
I wonder if you can help. I have just drips of hot water coming out of my shower and bath tap and yet reasonable pressure coming into the bathroom sink in the same room. The kitchen sink is also providing decent water pressure. Why could this be? The boiler is a year old. We had a loft extension put in recently and plumbing put in up to a bathroom that is not yet equipped with bathroom bits - sink, toilet etc due to low funds. We are an upstairs maisonette so do suffer from lower water pressure when the neighbours use their shower but this is lower than low and it is happening when they are out. It seems to have got worse. Any ideas? I am obviously also contacting the folk that provided the plumbing for the loft conversion, but thought i would also check in here in case it could be something simple that i could check first. Someone mentioned it could be something to do with a dodgy washer?
many thanks in advance for any help you can provide. I'd thoroughly appreciate it.

yes it just the hot water taps that are problematic in the bath/shower. just drips of hot water and when you turn the hot tap fully there's not even drips. You get nothing. What could it mean?

If only effecting bath could be air lock but maybe a bit of roof or tank insulation has fell into tank and been pulled down pipe work and blocked, check tank is covered ok and nothing fell in would be first check

imho

Hi stuart,

Did the problem start straight away after the plumbers finished or has it taken a while to manifest itself?

If it started straight away it sounds like it's something that they have done and only they will be able to diagnose. If it started later it could still be a blockage probably caused inadvertently by them.
