Got a Potterton Promax, about a year ago the HW stopped working, boiler was firing and dumping down the flow. Stripped and cleaned the diverter and the isue was sorted, recently the HW has been poor and i've done the same strip and clean. Last time it lasted less than a week before it got poor again. HEX is clear and the diverter doesn't really seem dirty. Are there any service kits for these that would help? Or is it maybe needing a new diverter valve?

Any help appreciated guys

Is it an he plus ? If so i think this will do the baxi/potterton part no is 720003100.

is it dumping down again? if it is remove the bush, clean the spindles,re assemble with silicone grease

That's the bit i've been cleaning Rab, I might have one more go before i buy a new one. Dumping down again Gasman, i've been doing what you say except using silicone grease. Would that make the difference?

yes, failing that remove the dv,remove the bottom bush, the spring will be gunged up

Had the spring out too! Hopefully the grease will do the trick, I'll try sometime over the weekend.

whats the difference with the plus over a gold or duotec HEA combi? as far as i can see just the name parts are the same

HERES A ROUGH GUIDE ON WHAT TO UNSCREW
the bottom bush comes out in there you will find a conical spring with lots of muck stopping it shutting
this is a ariston dv but similar to a duotec/promax

had the top out of a few but not the bottom - noticed some duotecs have one piece diverter cartridge how can you tell

IIRC the early ones can be removed the later ones mainly the HEA range its all built into one assembly, but you can clean or replace that cartridge

I think they are just poor diverter valves on the duotecs - I've come across a few lately where water is leaking through the spindle at the top which then soaks the motorised head and blows the fuse on the PCB!

its normally caused by debris in the system, been fitting plats/duotecs etc for 8 years only had one bush fail out off 400+ boilers i would not say they are weak
