Hi all i have a traditional gas central heating system and have had a strange problem for quite a while..All the plumbers i ask onsite have little or no idea on what it can be.
My pump keeps running and running the boiler kicks in every two mins and clicks off after about a minute..This does this constantly unless i turn the whole system off at the wall for a day then back on....If i run it then for a short while the pump will turn off when i switch off on the electronic programmer....All i want to do is turn the system down using the room stat downstairs and let it kick in when the temp goes down to 15,this way i know my 10 mnth old son will be warm enough over night.....
I`ve turned down the stats on the radiators and it still kicks in,at this rate i`m gonna have one hell of a bill....
I had a guy in last yr who put a new pump in and a valve underneath the pump,he was recommended to me as he knows more about the electrical side but this hasn`t solved anything...
The pump is bolted onto a chimney breast but makes allsorts of irritating vibrating noises that deflects the sound over the house....
I`m stuck now and was wondering if anyone had an idea of what it could be,all the plumbers i`ve spoken too say electrical fault but who do i call on for that problem, are there specialist electricians for heating???Sorry bout the long winded msg but really do need pointing in the right direction cheers....
Also when i click off on the electronic programmer on most ocassions the pump keeps running(not for 20 mins but all night)sometimes it switches off as asked but very rarely,my only option is to turn off at the plug...
