problem with shower

installed a "trevi" CTV mixer shower today and its not working properly ???
checked all the filters etc and every thing is ok..... whats happening is that when i turn the mixing valve it allows cold through and as i turn more to introduce the hot it just comes to a point and gets fully hot {too hot] the very same thing happens as i come from hot to cold it comes to a point again where it just changes over to complete cold ?? point is there is no balanced mixing going on ...the flow from both hot and cold are equal as all other showers working fine in building ...
i came across a mention in the manual of flow restricters that go into the inlets of the hot and cold..??? confused ??? help

are the hot and cold crossed? are the supplies to both h and c balanced?
i would have thought there was a troubleshooting guide in the manual, check this too

I would agree with thwe above

Check the feeds are the correct way round

Also check your pressures are balanced

the hot and cold was crossed ,,cheers lads ..how sad .....i put the hot to the right of the mixer as i faced it .i thought hot to the left was standard on all mixers ...anyways its working perfectly now ..kinda pannicked when i seen something so simple going so wrong ..cheers ..

Hot to the left as you face it, unless the vave needs to be rotated 180deg.

hot on the right for this one to work !!!.... this mixer worked perfect once i swapped the supplies to the "wrong" inlets .... i have another issue with mixers in the same hotel.. old as the hills this place ... need to source screw-in brass mixer cartridges !!

I know this thread is way out of date, but I stumbled across it and know what valve this is, which will hopefully help the next person. The valve / cartridge the original poster was looking for is a Shires valve: https://www.divapor.com/spares/show...valves-solent-premier-ely-u0670aa-u0671aa.php
