Just fitted flow restrictors to my whb tap so the kids dont make a mess when washing their hands, fitted the little cartridge type that inserts into the pipe/fitting. Fitted pink ones, also have a few red here.

Now the HW wont start on the boiler, looks like it should though. Do the hall effect sensors on these start to fail over time? Still picks up the other taps

If the other taps fire the boiler then the restricters are to blame I would have thought
What flow rate are they

Dont know what flow rate they are, but guessing by looking at the water coming from the tap I'd say 5/6 l/m. MI's say minimun of 2 will do. Changed the filter to one of the red ones I had, the tap no triggers the sensor. Can the cartridge/filter that the hall effect sensor sits on get blocked a bit and affect the sensor?

Has the boiler got a hall effect sensor or a flow turbine/switch
Could have a couple of veins missing so wont spin until a greater flow is reached
What boiler is it

You need to measure the flow rate properly really. But I'd guess the flow restrictor is the issue.
