Hi guys what's the regs on the termination of the safety blow off pipe on to a public path,building inspector pulled me on same ,had to reroute it onto cust property what a pain that was,I was under the impression as long as it terminates safely.

Think you need permission to discharge onto some one else's property. Your wall is adjoining land owned by others?

should terminate in a safe visable location as per G3 or appliance manufacturers instructions if part of the appliance.

i know an up market estate where they all terminate on the pavement but they are caged in to prevent anyone touching them however they were built like that so different circumstances

i have always understood safe and visible are the only stipulations that we have to work to, but that obviously doesnt take into account potential vandal damage in the future thats prob why you were asked to re locate them

another consideration is if over a path, in the winter if it runs it could create a dangerous ice patch.
