Hi there,
I’m hoping someone can help me with this problem please. I’ve searched for similar posts but not found anything helpful! My mum’s house has a pump which pulses on and off every time a tap is opened. Even filling the bath (pressure is strong) the pump won’t come on and stay on but repeatedly turns on and off rapidly. It’s very annoying! It has an automatic press control and a pressure tank fitted to the pump. Could it be air in the system? Though I thought this would work itself out. Could it be the press control is faulty? The pressure tank was replaced not that long ago and it is pressurised (bicycle pump). I’m not sure how old the pump is but it was taken for servicing/ repair at one point not too long ago and we were told it was OK. There is a cistern at the top of the house which fills with mains water. Could it be a blockage in the short distance from cistern to the pump? Sorry I don’t know the make and model of the pump as I’m not at the house now.
Any suggestions most welcome, cheers!
James
