Pushfit under floor boards

Walked in on a new install yesterday and there was push fit absolutely everywhere! I've never run it under floors in case of fittings leaking after time, is this the norm now?

Where else would you run it?
I certainly wouldn't use it on show anywhere.

The problem with push fit and the reason it gets a bad name is that more often than not it is incorrectly installed

It's time to give up and do what's necessary re the plumbing game.

As long as the product is approved by the regulators, covered by insurance and manufacturers warranty, I can see no problem in installing it.

If vermin eat through it - not your problem.
If it breaks down after 15 years - not your problem.
If a fitting comes apart after 3 years and floods the place - not your problem........
.....unless it has been deemed by the manufacturer that it hasn't been installed to their specifications... - then it's your problem!!!

If you only use proper John Quest speedfit pipe, fittings and inserts you cant go wrong.
I still do all the tails out of the floor in copper or if there is a tight spot you need a few fitting in but if it's out of sight, under the floor or in the loft speedfit all the way.

when i fit plastic below floors i tend to use it in continuous lengths and use a manifold type set up

Push fit is a DIYers dream and that is often the problem, it can still be installed wrong.

I'd rather use push-fit under floors than compression.

Polysure, Henco, KI (Tigris/Certus), Uponor MLCP press, ...Best of both worlds when you have to use plastic - plenty of choices.
