3 services today spread out nicely 2 Intergas and a baxi platinum , first Intergas expansion vessel goosed drained, repressurised, stripped down cleaned and serviced all back together testing out and customer appears I've got to go out now, FS I'm not quite finished luvie yes but I've got to go out, well I cant leave ya boiler like this I'll have to turn everything off and come back later ,well I'm not sure ?? either you leave me a key and I'll put it through the letter box when I'm done or I will see you at 4.30pm on my way home , no I'll leave you a key that's ok ( off you go then ) got it done onwards and upwards, Then arrives at the next one same procedure stripped down the boiler cleaned out the heat exchanger, condense trap, mag filter all back together, doing the tightness test , gas rate, co /co2 ratio , client pops his head in how long you gonna be mate got to go out I've got a spinning class FS again he's pushing me out the door getting p--ed by this time you book the visits to suit them then and it still a inconvenience 🫣 fortunately the next one was just fine but god I hate servicing 🤣🤣. Kop

The problem I find is when the cus says the last guy was only here 10 mins and why you removing the case he didn’t do that etc

Yep, what's all them metal bits, why you taken them out, why do you need to look at the oil tank, last guy was only here 20 minutes.

Got back off of hols last night, felt rough on way home, didn't sleep too good, felt worse this morning. Had two jobs sorted, dripping tap and a locked out boiler.
Went to boiler, reset and ran like a train, analyser in and spot on. Felt like crap, phoned dripping tap and said wouldn't be coming. Oh we can wait a day. Only if I'm better, oh well I don't know then. I do, find somebody else. Not in the mood to be f d around.

I joke sometimes that this job would be brilliant if it wasn't for the customers. The handful of muppets ruin it for the rest.

Rant over, where's the pain killers.

Yes it would be better, that’s why I used to love working in void properties where I work. It's not the same as a pushy customer, but I had a wireless room stat to install this morning, I said I’m just nipping to my van for the mats, came back in and she said “I’ve put the heating on”, I asked “why”, “because I’m freezing” was the answer, had great pleasure in explaining I’ll be knocking it off 😂😂😂

I had Covid a month ago and it was sudden onset and very like flu. Felt freezing the first evening and took about three hours by the woodburning stove (was abroad) to warm up enough to go to bed. PITA more than anything, though as you may feel recovered before the tests say you aren't contagious. Anyway, if Mr Shouty does have Covid, I hope he recovers as fast as I did. Best wishes, Simon!

On a fixed-price service they complain that you take longer?

Sore throat yesterday morning, worse through the day, not a lot of sleep and aches and pains.
Covid test came back negative and I've done well over autumn/winter to avoid any of the other bugs flying around.
I'll just top up on the pain killers, plenty of fluids and ride it out.

Cheers👍👍
