So I'm a self employed domestic plumber that specialises in bathrooms. I have a friend who owns a small office block in London. He has two toilets in this office block and wants them to be completely changed. Other than the fact my public liability insurance probably doesn't cover it. Would I be qualified to do it in the eyes of building regs or whoever the regulator is? Or do you need a specific qualification to work on commercial property. I know you don't need one for domestic (unless working with gas).

Ring your ins company explaining the work required and see what they say
As for com plumbing quals, I would say as long as you're insured you're OK, if you're only working on small bore pipe work
The larger stuff, I don't know

as above but you need to know about

secondary returns
pumped mains off tanks etc (boosted supplies)
water regs are more complex
knowing a bit on mechanical services would help

just to name a few
