Hey guys I'm looking for somewhere to buy specialist quality plumbing tools, i.e tap re-seating tools, tank cutters, hole saw kits. Please could you recommend any good tool site or shop that are within a 30 mile radius of SW London.

Thanks

Buy them as you go along

In a great fan of the Bosch hole saw kit

As for reseating tools. Idk. But for any good plumbing tool. They are deffo not made by monument!

i find the teeth on the knipex pump pliers slightly better then rothy, if your in london and want them of the shelf i picked mine up at toucan tools over leytonstone way cant remember where exactly but as everyone is saying best deals seem to be found on tinterweb

In fairness, I've never compared the two (rothy and knipex) so I can't really pass judgement. I have used my brothers Knipex once, and they were OK. I wasn't so in love that I nicked them from him though, so they can't have made much of an impression. Plus when his stuff actually got stolen (by a theif, not his big brother) he replaced his grips with Rothy's.

Rothenberg are made ok but the spacings on the grips are slightly out for 15mm and 22mm nuts and they don't feel as comfortable.
I just don't like them but that is a personal preference. Knipex do a big range of grips to suit everything you would need.
I don't really like cobras either as the adjustment is too fine and fiddly with the button.
.
The worst grips i ever had were those pinky red self adjusting things rothenberg brought out about 10 years ago. £20 for a set of grips and i launched them out a back door followed by a string of expletives on the 2nd day. They were even worse than Gordons!

Screw Fix stock em.....at least the plumb fix arm of the company does. I just use a bog standard Rothy grip. Non of that button pressing milarky!

Cheers lads.

Never used knipex myself but wanted to check em out. Seen people on here raving about them.

I agree about the 'push button milarky!

I've dropped my Rothys off a ladder from 5m, didn't even scratch them!

I bet that button would fly off!
