I have been asked to swap two single radiators to two double radiators, as in two rows/tiers, it is more thank likely the pipework will ned bringing forward? or could just bending the pipe be ok? PLUS PLUS PLUS , what is the easiest way to get a new radiator on the wall, ie/ knowing where to put brackets in relation to the already existing pipework. Thankyou

The quickest and easiest way would be to pay someone who knows what they are doing to do the job , if you are really thinking of bending or rather forcing the pipework forwards you are going to end up in a right old mess , pay a professional it will save you time and money in the long run.

yer agree the pipes will be to close to the wall , and tbh there isnt really any easy way of describing how to hang a rad to pipework most people will have there own ways best to drain down hang rad then pipe to that

when replacing a rad between existing pipe work its best to work from a center line assuming the rad is very similar in size i usually stand the new rad ceter between the pipes and mark the wall where the brakets want to be
if the rad is smaller its often easier to work from one end lining up with the existing and only altering one side of pipework however this does change the position of the rad and it will no longer be center if under a window etc
to get the height, with rad on floor hold bracket in place on the lugs and measure to floor this measurement plus the hieght of existing valve to center less the hieght from floor to center of tapping (usually an inch ) gives the hieght of top of braket
