radiator balancing queries

Hi

I have about 15 radiators split over three levels that need balancing.

Are there plumbers who specialise in balancing or is it something that any plumber can do competently (concerned as will not really know if it has been effective until winter).

How long would such a job take and approx costs.

How do I find plumbers in Chesterfield who specialise so I can get quotes

Hi

All plumbers can do this so its a case of grabbing your local paper or googling for a local chappy and enqiring from there. hard to advise of price and aslo why does it need balancing? is there an underlying fault?

Builders fitted new radiators (roof space now used and extension on back) but never bothered to balance (plumber side left fully open).

ahhh, i would call builders back personally and moan about it but if not just give a plumber a call and providing system is fitted okay should be done in an hour or so

The builders have their own plumbers and they installed it but did not balance it 🙂 I will get them out again but based upon experience it may have been better to get others in.

I will get a howto on balancing to make sure it goes correctly

they didnt complete the job so i would get them back and not splash out money when its not your fault
