This thread was accidentally deleted yesterday so apologies for the repeat post.

I cannot find a bleed key to fit the radiator shown in my attached picture. I have tried a standard brass key and a universal tool purchased from Screwfix. I would be grateful for any advice about what key will fit and where I might purchase it from.

Thanks in advance.

I've used long-nosed pliers before with a pair of normal pliers clamped to them to help with the turning (if it's stiff).

What's the other end look like? Does that have anything like a bolt in place where the bleed point is this end?

I'll double check this evening but I don't believe there is. I could try pliers as a last resort but it's less than ideal.

use your normal bleed key, it will be a bit too large, so insert a couple of slithers of fine metal plate into the key.

try flattening the brass key a little with a hammer and the tapping it on to the bleed valve if it goes on and works id leave it in place and paint it to math the rad

Surely his vent is bigger than his key, it looks it to me?

@Phil - I've tried a clock key already. It doesn't fit into the aperture unfortunately
@Leakylea - The fitting forms part of the rad cast. I doubt it could be replaced

Thanks for all other workaround suggestions. I have four of these rads so would ideally like to get hold of the right tool for the job. I'm sure you're all aware that when you need to turn the vent off - you really need to turn it off quickly otherwise risk rusty water damaging your carpet.

There must be repro rads of this style around so surely a keys must also exist that fit...
