Hi All,
I am new to this forum and wanted advise on this situation

We recently refurbished our house including installing a new combi boiler and radiators. Our plumber has decided to install a drainage valve in the hallway to our nice looking radiator without asking if we would want it somewhere else. When I asked what it was and if it could be moved to the next room he said I will need to pay for it as it always gets installed in the hallway. There is a dowstairs study which is similar distance from the main door.

  • Am I at fault here or should he have asked where I need it installed?
  • He put it on the copper pipe (see pictures). If he had to install it in the hallways should he have not finished it better by fitting a radiator valve with drainage?

I have attached some pictures of the finish. I was planning to cover the copper pipes with black covers but cannot unless I move this.

Kind Regards,
Ryan

It’s one of them but it’s two low by the looks of it anyway wants to be 2” above the carpet

Yes normally it gets installed in the hall as it’s normally a straight shot to the front door and out

They don’t make them in grey / black just chrome
