Hi a client of mine has a radiator with only one valve
the valve body has the flow and return going to it
he has asked me if he turns off the valve does it shut down the supplies to the radiator so he can drain it down and remove the radiator

1 pipe system valve. shutting it down should kill flow to rad! make sure you put a cap on the end if its thermostatic !!

Usually these valves have a head you can turn off and a little cap for the return you turn the valve off on the head and undue the cap and turn the return off with a straight scredriver or allen key when you undo the rad valve there will be a long tube on the return to the other end of the radiator so you would have to lift the rad off the brackets then slide it sideways.
