The boiler started playing up a couple of days ago.

There is no hot water in the tap but the radiators are warm and the rooms are warm as usual. Here is a picture of the settings and controls http://*********/cAEgG.jpg

What is weird is when the boiler starts heating the water for the radiators, the kitchen tap and taps on the ground floor have hot water. So if I set the thermostat at home all the way to MAX and run it all day, there is hot water in the taps.

I am totally useless with boilers and am looking for suggestions as to what the problem might be!

Probably just the hot water diagram worn, however could be faulty mechanism in diverter valve as plastic arm to micro switches can break, hot water when heating on as diverter moving over but operating on heating mode as micro switches not activated

Time to get a plumber in

yup dont go undoing nuts or anything either.

Could end up with a wet floor or a house full of gas.

go on the gassafe website and get a local Gas man in
