i am just wondering, would a chimney pot type terminal give a better flue pull than a cowl suitable for fixing to a liner type, hope thats clear.
 
I wouldn't of thought so. It's relying on thermal difference and atmospheric pressures

The only thing I can think of to inprove the draw would be to

1 install bigger vents
2 sweep chimney
3 raise Hight of terminal
4. Poss fit a powered flue £££££ depending on the fire
