As its raining I have been taking the total number of messages I have posted and then turning the positive and negative
ratings into a comparative % of feed back to messages ...I am roughly 5o% positive, less than 10% negative and roughly 50% get a reaction. Centralheatking
Rob I can only hazard a guess at the most important question... Why?
Do you mean this number in the image below ?
The reality of places like UKPF is that one posts purely to help others. When you can do that, and the person you've helped recognises the fact, you feel 'valued' so keep on doing it.
When people, in my view increasingly, simply 'take' in that 'entitled' way that more & more seem to be adopting, then ultimately we will pull away thinking, "miserable s0ds, can't be bothered anymore".
We'll do that because the negative feelings we get are no longer offset by the vital sense of satisfaction gained from being valued.
This is why I get out of my pram sometimes. My frustration at my own generation boils over. Pls forgive me
Ultimately, the numbers will make zero sense. All one can possibly go by is how the whole experience leaves you feeling. If it's frustrated, then one either backs away or re-examines how one communicates in order to make things clearer - remember the onus is upon YOU to make yourself understood - or you carry on and accept things for what they are.
