Reccomendations for replacement leccy shower

Tend to stay away from bathrooms but a mate has asked me to replace an old mira electric shower. The current unit is an 8.5kw with surface mounted pipe and cable (enclosed in some trunking)

So I need a replacement shower that is half decent that will accept pipework and cable coming in top left and surface mounted.

Well you are going to have to go for another Mira shower if you want to stay with left hand entry as most decent showers done right hand entry to try to take on triton,the cabling will be long enough and fit both types,however as surface pipe work,can not you re run to right hand side,this will give you a lot more options of showers and makes and cost of unit can be reduced
Miras keep on left as think they can do there own thing and think once one fitted due to pipe work,another will be fitted as replacement and thats what keeps them going

Thanks, will look out for a Mira then.

The guy wont want me running pipework around the shower to the right as its all surface and doesnt want hassle of re-tiling, so chopping it into the wall isnt an option

Triton tx80 you can get a plate to go on the back which allows the water and electric to come in anywhere within the casing. perefect for hiding old screw holes etc.

Is the Mira Zest the one where you have the option of left and right handed feed?

dont forget electrical safety, rcds trips earthing are up to it,also type of bathroom light is zone 1 (if applicable)
