Ladies and gentleman.
I am a long retired ex Hospital engineer, with electrical and mechanical qualifications, so I do know my way around complex electrical and mechanical installations, just so you know you are not dealing with a dangerous numpty:laugh3:.

My problem is now the old age problem of memory, or more to the point, the lack of it. So when I buy a new Tv, phone etc, by the time I reach the end of a detailed manufacturers explanation of how to do some thing with the object, I have difficulty remembering the start instructions, or the thing has shut down that particular menu screen.

In the past, with my existing home heating installation, I have had the simple set up of multiple zone valves, thermostatic rad. valves and time switches for each zone.

I am going to install a new Vailant 937 boiler and have decided to supplement my existing installation with an electronic room stat, or one of the domestic heating compensator in/outside controls. I was very conversant with these type of controls in my working life and used to have them fitted at the various hospitals services I managed, my choice was the Landys and Gyr systems, which as you will no doubt know, are very expensive.

My problem will be the commisioning of such a system now with the problem I have outlined above.

So, my question is, (at last I hear you collectively say), do you know of a system, either as a control electronic thermostat, ( with a very small temperature differential switching), or a weather compensating system, that does not require a degree in quantum physics to set up and operate, something that is intuative to an old dodger like me.

Please be gentle, this is my first posting on here, and remember, you are all approaching old age yourselves, be it only a day at a time.

Kind regards,

BrianT.
