Hi all,

Will soon be upgrading our heating system and replacing the hw cylinder also. Bathroom is next to the hot press and we are thinking about using some of the hot press space to house part of a new shower enclosure. Current cylinder is 1050 x 450 and we need similar or greater capacity in the new tank. Any saving on the 450 dimension leaves more space for the shower (currently at 700 which is tight).

Separately, has anyone ever seen a cylinder placed at a higher level, in our case, above the shower enclosure? Presume it would impact on water pressure. Shower will be a powered one.

Thanks,

W.

The cylinder can go higher as long as below the cold water storage cistern and the pressure come from the hight of this above the hight of the outlets/ shower. If you have the room a taller thiner cylinder is possible as long as it is below the cold water cistern as said.
