Registering gas safe, how soon do i get my number and can start working? Immediately

As above really.

If I was to register with Gas safe tomorrow morning could I be working under my registration straight away? How long until they update their system and I show up as GSR?

Only asking as starting to get people ask me to do jobs and I'm starting to feel like im missing out. I'm GSR through the company I work for but that's no good if I want to do work myself on the weekend.

About 3 minutes from when the money leaves your account..... In my case atleast

I believe when I did mine. I asked GS this and once payment had cleared they agreed to send through an email confirming that I could work. Just had a look through my GS folder but can't see it. Probably been archived. Hope this helps mate.

I updated my insurance over the phone and just paid an additional premium. Done there and then I think

That will be squared away also.

If i'm paying for GSR I'll pay for Insurance too.

I'm not registering tomorrow I was just interested in how long it will take. Probably leave it another couple of weeks.

When i did mine it was confirmed same day by email.
