I was wondering if in a Salon the Back-wash basin has to have a TMV on it as a guy is saying to just adjust the ball-o-fix valves accordingly to get the right temperature

adjusting the iso valves wont limit the temp, do it right.
To add to the story, my partner keeps telling her boss the temperature keeps dropping and rising.. Causing her to burn her hands.. When they went back to the plumber who installed it he said it doesn't need a TMV he said the ISO's are correct.

If the original plumber refuses to fit one time to change the plumber...regards Turnpin:punk:

What would ideally be put on, am I right in saying a TMV? He said when I suggested this to him that he doesn't have to put one on as it's not a School or Hospital. Is it a requlation or just good practice? Thanks for the help Turpin

What an idiot! Tmv is a must! We fit 210l unvented and tmv3 on each unit. Nowt quite like a woman scalded?

It's a public place. Water must not be allowed to be discharged above 65c and must reach temp within 20 seconds? Also if your partners hands are being burned during normal working operations then her employer isn't meeting needs and is in breach of health and safety at work act. Just because it's hot water doesn't mean it's ok. You would complain if she was burned to death by steam discharge due to lack of safety controls ??? Steam is just very hot water??

Shop owner has a duty of care to anyone using his /her facilities to prevent legionnaires disease hot water must be kept at sixty degrees obviously to hot to wash hair with so a tmv is a must to blend with cold just before the outlet to the mixer...hope this helps the buck will stop with the owner......regards Turnpin:punk:

The hair wash things ive plumbed up before had a thermostatic bar mixer on them.

The muppet saying to adjust the isolation valves is no plumber.
