Hi all,

Got a customer with an unvented which the installer didnt bother to wire in the 2 port valve so its been like this for years just manually open.

Problem is the valve is on the other side of the house where wiring centre is, running cable is major work. I was wondering if anyone knows of any wireless switch that will simply send signal to receiver by the wiring centre whenever motorised valve actuates off the cylinder stat.

Cheers

Cant you wire it up to the cylinder stat, and find power somewhere

I know not the best but will work and be safe

can you explain why the disagree lee

2 different sources into 1 unit, could cause problems with borrowed neutral if it's RCD protected. Not the best,

Depends if the cylinders been wired in at all , if it's not won't be 2 different sources

And your still going to have to find power if there's no cable to the stat/ cylinde, even with the mains link

I thought you meant the wiring from boiler to stat,
