Would anyone be able to recommend an possible way of getting this tap handle off of the valve? The splined sections of both the handle and the valve are so calcified that neither a kettle load of hot water nor a liberal spray of WD40 would free them. Any advice appreciated.

Thanks, guys. I have some white vinegar and Viakal. I will try both of these but will obtain the Kilrock should they fail. Cheers. :)

Hold the head with a set of grips, Drill straight through the screw hole with an 8mm hss bit, pull. Replace head and gland with a reviver.

cant see from the picture but if the heads rise when opened you can open fully and fit something below the head usually a spanner and the close the tap forcing the head upwards doesnt work on newer taps which dont rise and fall

The best answer in my opinion, I would just get my grips on it and turn anti clockwise and the head with with come off with the guts or snap off. Then install a tap reviver.
