Hi, was just wondering what seals I need to buy to service a Worcester R35 HE Plus Combi. In the MI's it states the seal on the clean out cover should be replaced, and the seal on the burner should be inspected and replaced if neccessary, is it good practice to just replace this anyway? Thanks

yes would be my answer but i refuse to service anything like vaillant , worcester ideal or anything that needs seals replacing . i think its a con myself

MIs state that servicing is only required if it fails combustion analysis. Kit of parts for servicing is about £30. I quote for an annual check with extra if it requires stripping.

personally if a seal will not last the life expectancy of its appliance then i think spare seals should be included with the boiler. but then im not in the business of making boilers and selling parts. ;)

How many of those seals would still be there when needed? Any parts or instructions left with the customer are never there a year later. The seals only need changing if the boiler has to be dismantled which may only be once in it's lifetime.

If you have every read some of these servicing instructions on some of these older boilers you would be there all day lol

i was always taught, if your ever gona remove a force draught burner from its chamber, then yes seal needs to be changed, then that way you know everything is 1000% ok, baring in mind your fga checks are within the permissible afterwards, happy days.

Hi, I asked the same question on Worcester training day, was told check inlet press, gr,fga if its within the tolerances stated in manual, service is done

that is not a service that is a safety check hence if its within tolerance no strip down required,

I realise that its not a service unless your bg!!. I am just stating what Worcester told me on there training day

Yes I know what you are saying , Personally I only service boilers that dont require specialist tools like worcester bosch, Taking the mickey if you ask me
