I am moving a bathroom from back of house to what was a front bedroom. This is approx 10 metres from soil stack. I can get soil pipe under floorboards to outside, but what do I have to do to vent toilet, bath and washbasin.

Please help

I would vent at end of line and connect up as for a single stack system.

Just a thought, but have the joists in the bedroom been checked for taking the extra weight of a bath full of water and the person in it?

You may have to notify the local Building Control if you move a bathroom as it can affect the integrity of the building structure.

Thanks - I think the joists should be ok, but how do I put the vent in. The toilet would be at the end of the line - what do I do to continue the soil pipe for a vent and can this be done internally

Hi. Is normal to run a soil and vent in the building. Extend the soil vent up into roof space and out through the roof. The vent should be 1m above any windows / opening into the building where it terminates. To weather the soil/vent as is passes through tiles / slates a lead slate is used. Have a look at this link it will show the item. Lead Slates | Just Lead - Sheet Lead Products
