Hi guys. 1st post here. I am 30 years old and I have been a central heating installer for 10 years. I did my apprenticeship with bg, but left to work for myself after 5 years. I am wondering what the best course of action would be to change over from installation, to breakdown and repair. I have done various repairs over the years although I have never been taught to fault find with a multimeter. I live near Liverpool so if anyone has any information on good fault finding courses that would be much appreciated.

Are you a gas safe engineer.
Many manufacturers run bespoke courses for their family of boilers which can be organised through a local rep conditional on being Gs reg.
Probably just have to state you have fitted tons of them (insert manufacturer name here lol) to secure a place.
Hope that helps

Hi big blue, there are dvds you can buy which are not as beneficial as the manufacturers courses but are still a good insight and refresher to boiler sequencing n fault finding, its called the Mr combi fault finding dvd, he also does training at his centre and does a huge range of courses,
