moony

not something i normally deal with but part of an installation in an office block they have asked me to look into installing a ceiling hing gas heater in the work shop.

Anyone know where i can look these up?

Ive got around 2.4 metres to work with and it literally is to only use when the weather is really bitter there are four rads going in there but they are worried it wont be enough (probably wont to be honest in the really cold months).

any help or pointers as usual greatly appreciated :)

Try this site, you can download the manuals so you know what you may be letting yourself in for!
Powrmatic

theres several types think most would require commercial ticket why not enlarge the rads ?you can get radiants that hang down on chains or large blowers
also the blak rod ones which are suppose to warm the people and not the room?

You won't get anything like this on a Dom ticket.

Powrmatic
Ambirad
Combat
Renzor

All manufacturers that make the kind of thing you want

It's not a massive work shop. And they don't want anything too expensive. Looking at them they're a bit over the top for what they want I think anyone know any prices on something like the heaters mentioned?

First things first. Do you have a com ticket

If not. Forget about it.

This is commercial all the way

I notice the smallest Reznor overhead blower in the LCSA range is only 20 Kw..maybe that would suit..?

I think your missing the point. If you haven't hot a com ticket you can't install it

If its a a domestic Meter - what determines this to be a commercial installation, are they not classed as warm air heaters? I've persuaded them to not go with it now anyway - but would be interested to know how and why it would be classed as commercial on a domestic meter

If the product is classed by the manu as being commercial (which they are) you need a commercial ticket.

Same thing with boilers like Vaillant Ecotec commercial. Although it is only 46 or 65kw it is still classed as a commercial boiler.

Ideal used to do a commercial 30kw floor standing boiler

Mhs do many

If its commercial, it's commercial
