Hi guys
I've been asked to fit a wireless room stat to accomation with a Fagor Feb 20E combi boiler.
Can I buy any wireless stat for this boiler or does it have to be a certain one? Also is it easy wiring in the recever to the boiler?
Cheers
Rob

Most wireless stats are easy to fit, they normally require a permenent 240v L and N supply and then the switched supply (like a normal room stat) to the receiver, this can be mains or low voltage, the Danfoss and Honeywell dont even need to be paired (Stat & receiver) unlike the old Drayton Digistats which did. Looks like the Fagor has 24V switching so most wireless stats have voltage free connections. You can get the manual for the boiler here: http://www.morcoproducts.co.uk/resources/FEB20E_Compressed_User_Manual.pdf
Good luck, Martin

Thanks Martin. I'm a little bit of a novice when it comes to wiring (unless its basis like wiring up a boiler or divertor valve) and need a little bit more guidance on this.
The stat I have is a wireless Salus RF. The boiler it is going to is a Fagor Feb 20E which acording to MI has a terminal block for the connections to the Receiver for voltage free but still needs a 230v live feed to it as well.
Therefore (and bear in mind I am a novice at wiring) I need to know what cables I need to do the job. Also can I wire into the box powering the boiler to get power to the receiver?
Any advice greatfully recieved !!!!
Cheers
Rob

Hi Rob, that would be Ok to take the mains L & N from the wiring centre, you only need lighting cable as your whole system ( pump boiler etc) is less than 3 amp load, same size of cable will do for the switching also.
Good Luck, Martin.

So would that be the 3 core gold electrical cable I need to get? The earth is not used.
Cheers

Also the diagram is showing not only a live feed to the COM connection but also a live feed back to the boiler from the NO port. If I get twin core cable I've got live and neutral cable. Therefore do I run the neutral cable from NO to Boiler?
Cheers

Hi Rob, 2 core copper will do just fine, you are right wireless units dont require an earth connection but check first just in case as I havent fitted every make out there. the link below shows wiring for the Danfoss RX1 ignor the others, 240v L & N and room thermostat connections on the boiler (page 15 terminal 13 in the boiler manual) to terminals 2 & 3 of the RX1 and thats it, fit the batteries to the room thermostat and turn it up and watch the red light on the receiver followed by the boiler firing up.
Hope this helps, Martin Sorry could not find wiring dia for your Salus RF stat but hopefully much the same as danfoss.

Just found this: SALUS CONTROLS UK If your is like it make sure you remove the link in the receiver as your boiler has low voltage output for room stat.

Cheers mate. It is just the loop live from NO to boiler I'm confused with cos the twin cable is live and neutral
