Hello,

I have a British Gas 330+ and would like to know if it was possible to link to it a classic and simple room thermostat (Honeywell).

Thanks for your help,

Matthieu

Hi boiler you have is a rebadged Worcester, yes you can fit a room stat , do you have the installation book with the boiler ? question if this is a BG boiler how come no room stat was fitted ??

Get an rf stat programmer. Same number of connections only difference is that you only have to run wire to space next to boiler and not all the way to the room.

When was your appliance installed as to comply with part L of building regs must be provided with interlock. Non exclusive time and temperature control? Was it installed by BG or a friend? Only ask because if boiler was installed by BG you should call them and enquire, if unsuccessful a quick call to your local building control may be the required sledgehammer to crack the BG nut!

i thought the 330 was a glowworm? or does the + mean its not?
Yes you could be right, I have a BG boiler but different number (532i) its a Worcester, so the 330 is more than likely a G/Worm I stand corrected .

Lets be honest, Building Control wont give a monkeys and British Gas wont give a monkeys either.

330 is a conventional ov boiler (glowworm) so would need room stat to wired through wiring centre/programmer

Have you had the optional circuit board fitted, very few people did, means programmer is on front of the boiler

No one will care but you can only direct people to the correct channels of complaint.

Did you get a gas safe certificate and building regs notification cert ( combined)

If the contractor is on one of these approved trader schemes leave negative feedback....... Oh yeh the website takes it down as they are more concerned with membership than members of the public!
