Routine service discovery.

Carried out a routine service on a Valliant 637 fitted by me some 12 years ago now , replaced heat ex insulation £47.50 + vat I thought was a bit expensive ? all was ok till I checked the combustion air intake and found similar readings to in the main flue so meant a strip down and a ring round to source parts luckily got what I needed and got it sorted 4 hrs I hadn't accounted for Grrrrrr. Correct mate I changed the one off the boiler , one in the elbow and a length of flue seals were shot 👍😉 liking the new identity. Regards kop

Made use of this space under the stairs a bit tight but it's usable

I’ve had to change some, but sometimes struggle getting he elbow off the turret, or back on. Have damaged a couple of the rivets where they join the plastic. Luckily for me being social housing it’s not bad.

Next time remove the screws out of the turret section and lift it up you will find it's easier, remove the elbow still connected to the turret section. 😉👍
