Took a look at a job the other day, there is a floor standing boiler in what is essentially a fireplace.

The existing open flued boiler has a flexible flue liner from the top of the boiler all the way up the chimney.

customer wants a condensing boiler in the same position i wasn't sure whether or not the new boiler RS flue can go up the chimney as it can't obviously be inspected not can inspection hatches be fitted. but its sealed in a chimney so would this be ok ?

The chimney itself is pretty much vertical all the way just a slight bend at the bottom.

Viesmann also have a option for this, and I'm fairly
certain I've seen a MHS installed with a liner

Atag can use a concentric liner or a smaller liner just for the flue gasses and make the boiler open flued

The Worcester is the only option

Might even add that even intergas do a flexible liner.

if worcester do it, can be damn sure alot of others do it too.

i dont think they innovate in any respect

thanks guys .... will look into it

mhs blah won't fit any of thier ****. too many times been stuck in a plant room with my head in my hands
