Obviously this can be done but what's the key things to do or not do?

I'm guessing the feeds should be dug into a trench?

I would only do it with pre-insulated pipes and by the time you've priced up all the materials it becomes apparent that a gas line and heater is the better option!
 
Or a mini split like these.
