I have a problem with a flap valve the chain keeps braking every couple of months or so. Original chain was plastic which appears too weak for the job replaced with metal five or six times but just keeps rusting and breaking even bought brass chain (described as) from B&Q but this just rusted as well so was only brass plated. Does any one know where I can get some stainless steal chain (seen some listed on eBay but its £40 and has bad revues) or know of any other solution for problem. Toilet is a RAK corner unit so very limited space in the cistern and no room for anything other than the mechanism that came with the toilet.

The last fluidmaster flapper I fitted had a stainless chain

change the valve for a syphon model, wont leak and waste water like a flap valve

chain and flapper, unlikely it can sieze not enough metal in it :)
