Hopefully someone can give me a clue on this as its driving me nuts lol!

We have a salus RT500RF controlling our glowworm 30 boiler, it works fine for hot water but heating the radiators is a problem.

It works on the heating for a day and then almost every night it stops, I then have to turn the boiler off and reset the timer.....hey presto, it works again. But then it goes off the day after :censored:

Is this a common fault or does anyone know a fix? As I've said above its driving us totally nuts lol

thanks for any help

It sounds more like the Salus RF is probably faulty. How old is it? when the heating goes off is the flame still on the screen? is the green led on the receiver on but boiler not firing? It's a process of elimination but TBH, Salus are not the best, but they are getting better.

Thanks for quick response, the system is 3 years old, I've checked the batteries and they're not a problem.

when the heating isn't working the salus still shows the flame as if its sending.

The green light is on, as well as a red light? If I reset the boiler it's just red, then if I reset the salus it goes green and red an fires up.

Salus is cack or was, haven't used any of their gear for quite some time due to several issues.

Treat yourself to a honeywell one.

You need to try changing the jumpers which change the frequency at which it operates just in case there is any interference from neighbours etc. Failing that and assuming it is wired in correctly then you need to change the RF stat. The Salus one is around £45 or you can get a Honeywell one for around £60 - £100 depending on which model you choose.

Cheers, will try that in the morning. We've had it serviced etc in the past so presuming/hoping its wire right lol :)

Definately need the jumpers changing.
Routers or even car remote fobs can mess them up. Dont forget to reset after changing
