hi, wonder if anyone can give some information on this problem.

A mate has a new Saniflo in his attic and occasionally it backs up in the pan and into the shower, eventually it clears. Saniflo say it needs something like an 'anti-siphone brake' or 'anti cycle brake' which is fine but I cant find on the web what this product is, what it costs and how easy it is too fit myself.

Any pointers would be welcome.

Cheers

if its in the last week or so then check the pipe work i have been to one thar had been freezing over night later in the day it was ok

Spot on uug197h - had exactly the same problem with a Sanitop in downstairs toilet with basin water backing up. Customer thought his daughters friend had put something down the toilet. Looked outside and found the waste pipe (in 22mm!) went 2.5 metres before it went into the soil stack.

thanks guys for the tip but I had checked that and they def werent frozen and he has had this problem on and off for several weeks.

Does anyone have any ideas what saniflo were speaking of when they mention he needed a 'anti-siphone brake' or 'anti cycle brake' to stop the flow back that happens occasionally due to an air block.

Cheers
