My faithful S410 F4 has all but given up the ghost and it is time to replace it. It's done well - 37 years of service, so I'm not complaining!

It features a pre-standardisation back plate, so I wanted to run a check by some kind soul before I replace it with the Drayton LP522 that's sitting on my dining table...

My CH system is gravity fed; boiler, pump, thermostat and motorised valve. All very simple.

I downloaded the 410 wiring details from Sangamo, and the details for the Drayton are 'straight out of the box':

F410 Terminal LP522 Terminal
1 3
3 L
4 N
5 N
8 4

I'm happy with most of this - the only one I'm not 100% confident about is F410 terminal 5 going to the N...

Thanks to those who took the time to read this,

Chris

Added the S410 F4 wiring diagram!

After some careful checking and double checking (including advice from an electrician neighbour) I've successfully installed the LP522. All that's left to complete is the programming!

The wiring converts as follows:

F410 terminal 1 is wired to terminal 3 on the LP522
F410 terminal 2 should have no wiring
F410 terminal 3 is wired to L on the LP522
F410 terminals 4 and 5 are wired to N on the LP522
F410 terminal 6 (which is a link wired to terminal 1) can be discarded
F410 terminal 7 should have no wiring
F410 terminal 8 is wired to terminal 4 on the LP522

I hope this helps someone, somewhere. There's nothing worse than a helpful looking thread in a forum that turns into a dead end!
