scrappage problems

boiler scrappage is a double edged sword ive been out to four estimates so far for new boiloers only to find they think theres a four hundred pound grant on any boiler replacement
when i explain that its not applicable to the model they have they decide they dont want it changed
does anyone come round and check the boiler thats installed ?
can anyone explain why a 20 year old permenant pilot saunier duval 620 doesnt qualify ?

does any one check what the old boiler was before it got ripped out and replaced?

It will cost to much to send someone round to each one,more than the £400 they are giving,so they will do spot checks,which is why boiler has to be working
Also apparently,they are going to use the councils street surveillance cameras to zoom in on plumbing vans and instead of reading number plate ,will read make and model label on old boiler taken out ,this will then be cross referanced at the National operating boiler scrappage Head office (may be abbreviated)

If when checked boiler on list all Ok however if boiler not on list ,you can get deported to Austrailia to help fill there trade shortage

check the list of "covered" boilers and guess what happens from there.
