whats the best screwdriver sets around these days?sick of spending money on torx/stanley/draper as they tend to loose their grip after some use,all recommendations appreciated😎
 
Snap On tools are by far the most expensive but by far the best so long as you don`t loose them you will be ok. If you break it they give you a new one, you don`t need a receipt and you don`t have to go back to a shop cause come to your house/workshop every week - tell me who else provides that service

I bought an AA screwdriver set (with around 50 different bits and pieces) for a Xmas present and it cost me £9.99 from a local garage.

Kept it myself as it's one of my best purchases - got me out of all sorts of problems!
 
I have good two long philips and pozy screwdrivers,for boilers,one good flat for door hinge screws ect and the rest are off the market,tend to go walkies to often,if I had paid £70 would be a bit upset,also in sets you tend to end up/thus pay for sixes you do not use
I have a good multi head change ratchet screwdriver,that can also fit key sets into,had it quite a while now,good quality,strong,works well,you can get them now with a small lcd light on,oooh

Much what i use puddle trouble with sets is they tend to stop at about 8 inches long when you realy need a couple of 12 inch ones and one big flat blade that can stand the odd whack with the hammer
most of the time i use a makita battery impact driver for new work
 
Must admit posi and Phillips screwdrivers drive me crackers if the edges round off. I don't really have a favourite make as I have found some cheap ones last as long as some of the dear ones.

I would not mind snap on, but being honest I would probably loose them before they wore out and the price!!!!

I think if your in a moving trade like Plumbing in which you may call on any number of different houses on the same day, you have to balance it between quality, loosing it and price.
 
I recommend a set of Rothenberger screwdrivers (3 flat-head and 2 phillips). Magnetic tips, steel shank which goes all the way through the handle so it can be used like a chisel. They also have really good silicone rubber coated handles for a good grip even when wet.
