Fitted gas valve to above boiler yesterday really struggled getting screws in both gas valve to fan and brass plate to bottom of gas valve.
Just wondered if this is a common problem and are there any tips to make it a bit easier, or is it just me that struggles.
 
i would take the complete assembly out(burner/fan/gas valve and work on the gas valve away from the boiler to make it easier.remember to fit a new graphite seal on re assembly,hth
 
The gas valve comes off easy with the fan it's just the holes the screws go into as described have no thread and are a real pain to force in.
 
Stanley pocket screwdriver and a pair of grips if it pushed to it!
