Sealing skirted bathtub

There are plenty of tutorials for sealing/caulking bathtubs. However, my bathtub has a kind of skirting around its edge, as in picture:

How do I go about that? Should I caulk both edges? I plan to use standard silicone, would that be good for both? Is there any particular I should keep in mind for my configuration?
Note that the skirting is difficult to remove because it has a flange trapped beneath the tiles to keep it in place.

Take it off and jack the bath up to the tile sand reseal. Or take it off and use a 28mm upvc trim in its place around bath.

That stuff is the devils work.

Depends how steady with a knife you are you can cut where the pink flap is and then you can seal the bath upto that then scrape the top silicon off and then re do that

Uhm, that could be an interesting option in order to avoid bothering with removing that strip, thanks.
