Well as the plumber has modified the boiler flu pipe by extending and bending it to go through the new roof i presume he has either broke the regs or which i very much doubt be gas reg. As i presume there must be regs as to how far the pipe etc must be away from windows roof height etc.

Yes, there is regulations regarding flu termination, positionig this is also printed within the manufactures instructions! do you have any pics of flu termination/positioning?

Yes!

You are in breach of manufactureres instructions, GasSafe registered or not, if you make unapproved alterations to flues.

Just because a flue is extended does not mean any regs have been broken,
and as far as the tradesman being gas safe reg,if he is not, thats as much your fault for not checking his registration, which you should do when you have gas work done also you need to check he is qualified to work with that perticular gas appliance type.
Maybe if you did a few more checks of credentials before the building works started, you would be better positioned

yes but i didnt employ him the builder did !!!
And you employ the builder, you should check his credentials and see some of his work before you agree anything
You should ask to see sub contractors paperwork, making sure they are registered to work in their fields and will be able to provide paperwork required at end of works
Do the ground work, prevent problems down the road, unless of course, your main factor is keeping the price down and hoping it all turns out alright in the end cos invariably it will not

I'm afraid I have to agree with Puddle on this. You have to take steps to ensure this kind of situation doesn't happen in the first place.
You've posted a lot of stuff about your "works" and you clearly had worries about the quality of work right from the start and yet you let it continue to its inevitable conclusion. Your builder may well be c**p but you must have guessed that ages ago and you didn't stop him.
