HI all We are thinking of having a second toilet fitted downstairs. The soil vent pipe is 3 and half mts from the room and in between is is a gas pipe which pokes out 75mm. My question is would a sewer pipe have to stick out from the wall all the way or could a curve section be put in around the pipe. The path is narrow so a large pipe is going to take up a lot of room, especially when it gets to the vent pipe conneection.

Hope the terms sound right and it makes sense, any advice would be appreciated.

3.5 metres in 110mm pipe? Do you have the space for the correct slope on the pipe?
I could be wrong, wouldn`t be the first time but perhaps a Saniflo macerator is the way to go this time.

Hi I have been told there is enough slope.A mascerator is not something we fancy after hearing all the horror stories. It was just an idea instead we'll buy a freezer., and carry on queuing.

Thanks

Know what you mean by horror stories but I`ve got customers with sani`s of +7yrs old and I only see them once a year for a quick clean and check over, correctly installed and used they are trouble free but when incorrectly installed or misused it`s like everything else in life.

sounds like it ground floor it may be posible to tee in to drains below ground as they often run under side ways

you wont find fittings to offset over the 75mm nice and tight. you may however be able to run the pipe straight just stand the clips off a bit by putting longer screws through an inch or so of copper pipe

thought your last comment was aimed at me as i had said previously stand clips off with an inch or so of copper.:smartass:

Think we`ve got crossed wires KJ, I don`t come here to score cheap points or put people down.
