I have only ever taken water samples on contract work and find them to sensitive ,does anybody actually do these samples on there own private works??

I do for my long term warranty jobs, to be fair I only use Fernox as their reports are tested by an independent lab who personally Ive found to be fairer to the user than Sentinel who when I used them for my Worcesters used to fail for "not enough inhibitor" even when I double dosed the system just to be on the safe side. Plus the Fernox kit was £24 plus VAT(might not still be) whereas my Sentinel ones cost nearly double that and it took nearly two weeks to get em back!

Depends on who you speak to but I put it in my installation pack that I leave with the customer, saying that the inhibitor level should be checked each year too.

Think the sentinal packs are nearly £60 now which is rather steep inmy opinion. Like yo said would often get failures come back even after good knows how long flushing .Remember getting a fail with a statement saying to much copper content lol .Dont use them myself on private works as find them over sensitive.
